Throughout the semester we frequently organise Data Science Meetups, where we invite speakers to share their recent projects, interesting papers or experiences. Moreover, we provide you insights fascinating companies and institutes, by offering workshops, and field trips. But what would all that be without being able to apply your skills? That's why we host our two flagship events, the ACE Datathon and Hack4Good.
HopeEncoder: Chatbot Training for Language Development
November 25 @ 17:00 - December 12 @ 20:00
Learn the basics of NLP & deep learning and make an AI chatbot. After looking at examples of the current state-of-the-art abilities, we will develop chatbots in groups of 2-3 students that improve end-user linguistic skills through chats. We deploy and test the chatbots with an NGO and then improve them. Some homework (training the model) is required.
Dates: 25.11, 2.12, 9.12*: 17:00-20:00 – HIL E 8
RSVP online by November 20. Places are limited and are on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Please bring your laptop. Moderate Python skills are required, experience with neural networks is a plus.
*Attending all three sessions is required
