Welcome and thank you for your interest in contributing to the Analytics Club at ETH (ACE)!

At ACE, we believe we can make ETH a vibrant place for learning and practicing Data Science at its best.
We do so by enabling our members to learn during inspiring events, connect via personal exchange and execute what they learn at university to have an impact on society.
To live up to our mission we rely on engaged and committed students, such as yourself, who steer the core activities of the club as part of the ACE board. Are you passionate about becoming a part of this team and having a fun time while making an impact on hundreds of ETH students?

Sign-up below to apply as a board member and help achieve our mission and shape the future of ACE.

As a board member many interesting opportunities are open to you. Here is a selection from experiences of former board members:

  • Get to know companies from a different angle – making business with them yourself (company meetings, calls, writing bills and negotiating agreements, etc.)
  • Learn how to organise small and large events (incl. marketing, legal aspect, budgeting, etc.)
  • Learn how to run a small organisation that is registered in the “Handelsregister” (Chamber of commerce).
  • Make new friends and be part of a fantastic team, including fun team events such as our Board retreat.
  • Organise an ETH program for social impact: Hack4Good
  • Organise a fully fledged data-hackathon: ACE Datathon

We ask you to fill in the short form linked below in order to get a better understanding of your skills and commitment. We will gather applications and contact each applicant to have an opportunity to get to know each other face-to-face (or via Zoom). There are no hard boundaries on the roles, therefore please let us know what you would be interested in doing, and what your strengths are. You can learn more about the possibilities over coffee in person.

At ACE, we are organised in task forces, such that every board member gets the opportunity to involve themselves in the specific tasks & projects that interest them – be that specific to their assigned role of responsibility or not. Your board role will determine your role of responsibility in the sense that you are expected to have an overview over all tasks grouped under this role and that you are responsible that they get done in time – so you need not necessarily be the person doing them, depending on how you organise your task force.
